Oahu, the Gathering Place

We spend two nights at Waikiki Beach before getting a taxi to the cruise ship port for the main part of our vacation. Our hotel room had a nice view of the ocean, and we had a good time exploring the area. On Saturday morning, we went to the port to board the Pride of America, home for the next week.
We arrived in Honolulu late at night and checked into the Marriott Waikiki Beach. This shot, taken the next morning from the pier, shows our hotel in the center of the picture. Waikiki Beach 20131213-092532 dsc 7438 There are several banyan trees in the park.
